It's hard to stay sad while topping your head with this marvelous, silly hat.
Melissa tries to tell me not to take the picture — because she isn't wearing the right hat — but digital cameras seem to have minds of their own.

This confusion almost gave Julia a chance to steal the monkey back.

The monkey is the crocheted / hooked work of Julia's mother, Dahlia (a local artist). A monkey like that is an inspiration to every boy and girl who wants to hook (crochet) on their own.
